The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of a button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or go for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models and can pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to an empty bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's some clutter that must be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even remove wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the best selling robot vacuum and mop mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots at this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are nice to have but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.

It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's accented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
